Hi, I’m Susan Poffley, the owner of Design Style Kingston. I’m an Award Winning Professional Home Stager and I absolutely love what I do!!  I am a proud member of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA®) and a board member (President Elect) for the RESA Ottawa Chapter for 2025 and 2026.

As a certified staging expert I help your home look bigger, brighter, and more updated for prospective buyers. I take great pride in showcasing the best attributes of the home–this is no “cookie cutter” approach! I take my time to select the perfect items to complement and highlight the home from Design Style Kingston’s extensive staging inventory.

I keep up with design trends and participate in regular training opportunities. In November 2025, I became a Certified Luxury Home Specialist after completing all requirements of the IAHSP course, examination, and evaluation of required number of luxury listings. I finished my professional home staging course in January 2023, achieved my CSP Certified Color Consultant® training in March 2024, and completed my CSP Real Estate Feng Shui Specialist® training in August 2024. My other education was a Ph.D. in Psychology–I was a Psychologist (now retired) and I worked for the federal government for 25 years.

Several of the homes I have staged have sold just above asking or at list price (which is great in today’s market). Earlier this year, I had two properties (which I had staged) sell for about $45,000.00 over asking, each.  And recently, I had one I staged sell for $75,000.00 over asking—I am very proud to be part of RESA’s Sold Over List Price $75,000.00 Club!
