Susan Poffley, Owner & Lead Stager

As a Certified Staging Expert, I help your home look bigger, brighter, and more updated for prospective buyers. I take great pride in showcasing the best attributes of the home–this is no “cookie cutter” approach! I take my time to select the perfect items to complement and highlight the home from Design Style Kingston’s extensive staging inventory.

I am a proud member of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA®) and a board member (President Elect) for the RESA Ottawa Chapter for 2025 and 2026. I am fortunate to have been awarded as “Top 10 Rising Star Occupied Staging North America” in 2024 and as “Top 100 Most Influential People in Real Estate Staging” in 2025.

In November 2025, I became a Certified Luxury Home Specialist after completing all requirements of the IAHSP course, examination, and evaluation of required number of luxury listings. I completed both the CSP Certified Color Consultant® training and the CSP Real Estate Feng Shui Specialist® training in 2024. My other education was a Ph.D. in Psychology–I was a Psychologist (now retired) and I worked for the federal government for 25 years.

 


Rob Poffley, Logistics Coordinator

With a career built on organization and safety, I bring a strong operational backbone to Design Style Kingston’s home staging services.

Before joining Design Style Kingston, I retired from the Health and Safety Manager position at a chemical research company in Kingston, Ontario. In that role, I was responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating complex operations, and maintaining high standards in fast-paced environments. That experience sharpened my attention to detail, risk management skills, and ability to oversee moving parts without missing a step.

Today, as Logistics Coordinator for Design Style Kingston, I manage the operational side of every staging project. From coordinating and overseeing inventory movement to ensuring seamless setup and removal, I make sure each project runs efficiently and on time. Organization, reliability, and professionalism are at the core of everything I do. Whether working behind the scenes or coordinating on-site, my goal is simple: ensure every staging project is executed safely, efficiently, and flawlessly. My focus is on creating smooth transitions so our design team can focus on what they do best — transforming homes into beautifully presented spaces that attract buyers.

 

William Poffley, Mover/Furniture Handler

William plays a key role in ensuring every move is handled with care, efficiency, and attention to detail. He takes pride in the physical aspect of the job and enjoys the organization and problem-solving involved in safely transporting and placing each item. With a strong work ethic and consistent positive attitude, he ensures that every item is treated with care and every client experience reflects our company’s high standards. His professionalism and reliability make William an important member of our team.
