Hi, I’m Susan Poffley, the owner of Design Style Kingston. I am a Professional Home Stager and a Design Consultant. I completed a professional home staging course in January 2023 and finished my CSP Certified Color Consultant training in March 2024. My other education was a Ph.D. in Psychology–I was a Psychologist (now retired); I worked for the federal government for 25 years.

As a certified staging expert I help your home look bigger, brighter, and more updated for prospective buyers. It is well known that home staging helps sell homes quicker and for more money. Over the years I have staged several homes and helped clients expedite the sale of their home. Homeowners are comfortable working with me and take great pride in showcasing the best attributes of their home–this is no “cookie cutter” approach! I take my time to select the perfect items to complement your home from my extensive staging inventory. I am a proud member of the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA®).

As a design consultant, I am passionate about helping clients update their spaces. I work within a client’s design style and help them solve various design dilemmas. I started designing early in life (at age 10, I was drawing up designs for my future apartment and small bespoke furniture!).  It feels like I have always had an innate understanding of what looks good where. I keep up with design trends and participate in regular training opportunities. I look forward to discussing your redesign needs with you!
